Helping Allergies Through Using Healthy Oils
When I was a young mother, I was experiencing a number of emotional and physical challenges. With the help of a naturopathic physician who put me on a whole foods diet, many cleanses, whole food supplements, and herbal medicines, I had a complete turn around in my health. But it wasn’t until 2 years later that I realized that my seasonal allergies had all disappeared since this period of time. From that diet change and thorough body cleansing, I never have experienced seasonal allergies since, and mine were some of the worst too…pollens, grasses, weeds…I was so miserable! That was over 35 years ago!
I had to really think through why this happened. As I began learning about what constituted real health, I realized that it wasn’t the pollen, the grasses, the weeds or anything that was creating “my allergies”…. it was actually my polluted system that was actually crying out in rebellion as I encountered these things! Eating healthy foods, drinking pure water, and cleansing out the impurities from my body was the solution!
Eating a wholesome diet cannot be over-emphasized! We just have got to realize that processed foods, chemical additives, soft drinks, chemical cleaners, etc. are polluting our systems big time. and we will pay for it in some way or another.
Secondly, cleansing cannot be over-emphasized either! We should eat to nourish and drink to cleanse…..and if what we are drinking isn’t cleansing out the impurities (and in fact creating more toxicity), than our bodies will cry out in with dysfunction or another - and seasonal allergies are a common way.
Here are some ideas using essential oils that can be helpful:
Consider 2 drops each of lavender, peppermint, and lemon essential oils (safe for internal use) under the tongue (one right after the other) followed by a large glass of water. These 3 together act as a natural antihistamine:
- Lavender is calming
- Peppermint accelerates digestion
- Lemon is cleansing
You can repeat several times daily if these are pure therapeutic essential oils. Give your body CLEAN foods, water and essential oils - and it has the ability to respond in a healthy happy way!
